Thank you for your support of ReCreate.

Nonprofit ReCreate works with individuals and businesses in our region to keep clean usable items from entering the landfill. We use these items to teach hands-on lessons in Science, Tech, Engineering, Art, and Math. We also provide classroom lessons in Waste Reduction to over 10,000 students in our region annually. Items donated are sold at our reuse warehouse or used in programming kits for our classes. The following is a guideline for materials we can and cannot take:

We ACCEPT:
Antique or Vintage items -pre-1990’s – such as old postcards, maps, photos, etc.
Architectural and design samples
Art Supplies - Full sheet paper, pens, paints, pencils, pastels, etc.
Art/Craft Books
Arts & Crafts Supplies
Baskets
Beads, jewelry findings and supplies.
Books (art/craft books)
Bottle caps, corks, cardboard tubes, paper bags, rubber bands
Corks - wine corks, flat pieces of cork.
Containers -clean crates and tubs, totes with lids, stackable drawers, etc.
Easter Eggs -plastic
Fabric -please at least a half yard, unless it is straight-cut quilting fabric - like charm packs, or precut squares.
Faux Flowers / Plants
Feathers
Felting Materials - wool roving, tools, etc.
Frames, Artwork, Canvases
Gift wrap (on rolls) and party décor /supplies
Glass items -baby food jars, mason jars, glass vases, etc.
Industrial byproducts that are safe and usable
Lace, Ribbon
Leather pieces  - not clothing or furniture.
Musical Instruments  - handheld only, sheet music
Office supplies -except binders or items like logo stationery, promo items
Paint - art and fabric paint
Paper -craft and office
Photography equipment
Picture frames
Science and lab glass
Sewing machines, accessories, and notions. We may accept vintage sewing machines that are not working, please call first.
Shells
Stamps
Tins and containers -decorative tins, cigar boxes, coffee tins, etc.
Tile – smaller than 4x4 only. 
Toys and games -complete sets, no puzzles with missing pieces
Vintage and collectible items
Wooden dowels, craft sticks, etc.
Yarn

We DO NOT ACCEPT:
Clothing
E-waste -electronics that no longer work
Food containers – the only exception is INTERESTING glass bottles.
Furniture
Linens or pillows
Moldy or mildew-covered items
Printers, scanners, copiers
Sheets of unframed glass or mirror
Stained fabric
Styrofoam -except for floral or craft projects - still packaged.
Tile larger than 4”x4”
Toxic materials

Please DO NOT leave items at our door when we are not there, it is considered illegal dumping, and our neighbors don't like it.  Due to budgetary constraints, we are not able to provide any pick-ups.
